AUI has a legacy stretching back to 1947. This was the year the Hal Lewis' father started his security company. Hal worked alongside his father in the security business before branching out to gain even greater experience in the security industry. In 1974 Hal formed Alarms Unlimited.

Alarms Unlimited started out as a burglar alarm company serving residential clients and built a central station. It wasn't long before we took our success in the residential market and applied to the commercial market. After working in commercial market for several years technology started changing rapidly. CCTV and Access Control became a main stream component in the physical security arsenal. It was only logical that we bring these other technologies into our offering.

Many years later, after becoming a leader in integrated security solutions, we have discovered that the name Alarms Unlimited no longer conveyed all that we do. In 2010 we adopted the name "AUI Professional Security Solutions" to better represent what 50 year legacy can provide for you.

One of the unique and powerful aspects of our company is our Security Operation Center. Our SOC includes our own UL Listed Central Station as well as a data center. We employ highly trained and professional dispatchers to monitor your life and property 24 hours a day. The SOC never closes.

Because we are a UL central station we are required to conform to rigorous redundancy and quality standards throughout our operations. Some of these requirements include having two of every piece of equipment that is required for operation. Backup batteries are required on all equipment and the entire building is protected by generator power. Our data center and central station have redundant cooling systems as well. Disaster recovery planning is crucial to every aspect of our operation. We contract with various disaster recovery service providers to ensure that in the event of a local or even statewide disaster our operation can survive. Many of these systems are required to be tested on a weekly basis and are audited by UL.

Our SOC also includes a full training and product evaluation lab.

We start with our clients perceived need for a security solution. Because of our experience in the industry we are able to help validated this need and further refine it based on our clients concerns. Upon fully understanding the need we will typically perform a site survey and gather as many details as possible.

Only at this point do we start considering product choices. We have an extensive list of products that we have fully evaluated and tested in our lab and in the real world. We also have many resources available that allows us to find and test new technology that may be applicable to our clients unique needs.

After choosing the products and designing the integrated solution it's back to our client to go over operations and seek approval to go ahead with the work. The work is scheduled, performed, and training is given.

If applicable a service agreement may be offered for added value. Our comprehensive service department is available for any ongoing or warranty related service.

We have achieved our successful longevity by partnering with, not selling to, our customers.

Our company president, Mr. Hal Lewis, has been in the security industry all his life, as was his father before him. AUI has enjoyed over 30 years of success because of Hal's leadership and ability to truly understand what a customer needs and be able to deliver on that need.

Many of our employees have been with us for over 15 years, some as long as 30! We value our employees and give them the same personal concern that we give to our clients. We understand that a big part of our relationship that we have with our clients is based on the people that work with us.
